Honestly,I was never really a fan of the 1966 Batman but as the late Adam West,himself said,one of the great things about Batman is how endlessly malleable the character is.So he can be interpreted this way or in a dark,grim and gritty fashion like Frank Miller's interpretation and like how Tim Burton,Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder approached the character(and it looks like Matt Reeves is approaching the character in a similar fashion).
