It basically allows you to make all huge decisions in ME1 so you don't get saddled with crap in ME2 and 3.
No Wrex, dead Rachni Queen, bitchy Ashley instead of baller bro Kaiden.
Not to mention that killing Wrex isn't "dooming a race to the genophage", that only happens if you screw the pooch with Mordin or betray the Krogans in ME3.
Since you clearly illustrate you've played the game to "not remember who's the shitty politician" (who later becomes the councilor anyway in ME3 so either choice is fine.) you should know that the top selection is Paragon.
Regardless, if you wanted to cheat and look at the results of the decisions (like every ME player), you should do that. Otherwise, the whole point of these choices is to make a unique story and a unique Shepard.
A far superior gripe about ME is the fact that the game can punish you if you don't go completely Paragon or completely Renegade.
